my boyfriend and i have just moved into our first home together, and i've spent the last few days making awesome things that go with our "i love the sixties, expensive vintage-store furniture and cheap, thrift-store furniture" theme.

here's a picture of our back room - the "t.v. room." i bought the lamp at salvation army and made the shade and bought the ottoman at the vintage shop downtown:

so far, i've also made this huge-ass floor pillow and two sets of curtains. sewing machine's getting a workout.

in other news...

i went to see sword heaven at rag tag the other night and it was nutty. drummer guy stomped around and grunted with a collection of cymbals tied to his ankle. lots of screaming and general loudness that i wasn't really in the mood for.

tonight, i might go see arthur by the kinks. no joke.
